I am flying to JFK and on Delta and leaving on Korean Air. I'm sure I will have to change terminals. Will I have to go though security in the process of changing terminals?

Unfortunately, yes you will have to reclear security. The only airside transfer at JFK I'm aware of is Delta to Delta from Terminals 2/3 and 4.

    Yup.

Assuming T2/3: Leave the DL terminal. Walk across the parking lot and over to the AirTrain terminal. Take the "All Terminals" AirTrain (there are 3; make sure you get the correct one) just one stop to T1. Then back across the street and into the terminal. Back through security and on to the gate or lounge as appropriate.

If a T4 arrival the AirTrain is in the terminal, one level up from baggage claim and one down from ticketing. It will be two stops on the All Terminals AirTrain from T4.
