One of my favorite uses of Alaska miles is for travel in Emirates first class. That's due in no small part to Emirates having one of my favorite first class products in the world. There are several things which make Alaska especially great about redemptions on Emirates: -- Alaska sells miles at a discount several times a year, making it a great way to fly Emirates first class at a reasonable cost -- Alaska allows stopovers even on one-way awards, which is a great way to visit Dubai enroute to another destination -- Emirates first class award availability is about as good as it has ever been right now -- Alaska doesn't charge any cancellation/change fees on awards when you make the change at least 60 days out, which is a very generous policy -- Alaska lets you backtrack considerably on Emirates awards and allows some creative routings (ie, you can fly from Los Angeles to Dubai to London, or from New York to Milan to Dubai to Bangkok to Hong Kong) The post Changing Emirates Awards Booked With Alaska Miles Is Frustrating appeared first on One Mile at a Time.
