  1. Post Valentine’s Day post, sorry it feels cheesy to be asking the question but to the girls: Did he propose? Guys: She said yes!? Now just trying to help couples save some money for the wedding because weddings were never easy and planning a wedding in Hong Kong especially not easy.
Hong Kong is officially the most expensive city to live in according to the Savils report and spare cash is always going to be a boon. Good news is the Eaton Smart Hotel just started a competition and is inviting couples to enter its ‘Perfect Day’ competition. The lucky couple gets the chance to win an all-inclusive wedding package for only HK$11,111 for 11 Tables. Added bonus is the auspicious wedding date of Tue, Nov 1, 2011.
The spectacular ballroom features a magnificent three level atrium on which a 3.2m x 3.2m remote-controlled drop-down projection screen plays your wedding presentation.
As part of the specially-priced package, the lucky couple and 111 of their friends and family members will enjoy a fabulous wedding banquet in Eaton Smart, Hong Kong in the spectacular Diamond Ballroom. The winning pair will end their ‘Perfect Day’ with a one-night stay in one of Eaton Smart, Hong Kong’s Deluxe Rooms and enjoy a complimentary romantic room service breakfast. Eaton Smart’s expert team of wedding planners will also ensure every detail is attended to and every request is met.
So how do you enter? You can read about the Eaton Smart Perfect Day Competition and then tell them in 20 words or less why would you choose Eaton Smart, Hong Kong to host your “Perfect Day”
I have my own conspiracy theory as to why they didn’t put the competition up on facebook, they want you to win. Less people knowing about it means less entries and less competition for you. Does the Eaton Smart hotel not want people knowing about this competition because in Hong Kong, such a large monetary incentive is going to easily turn this competition into a viral campaign. Isn’t that the whole point of this competition? To let your potential customers spread good word of mouth about you but why in the form of a survey where no one can read or comment on what other people have written. What happens with duplicate answers? Where is the fairness and transparency and whats the judging criteria for the best answer? Nevertheless, less people knowing about it means better luck for you.
The ‘Perfect Day’ competition closes Sunday, 1 May and results will be announced via Eaton Smart, Hong Kong’s website on July 1, 2011. Winners will be notified individually. The number to call for inquiries is 2710 1803.
