CGH was the original airport serving São Paulo but now is only for point to point domestic flights including the shuttles for Santos Dumont in Rio de Janeiro (SDU) and Brasilia (BSB). The airport is small and crowded, but it is very convenient.

    From Infraero Google translate:

Airport of Sao Paulo / Congonhas

Congonhas Airport is one of the main gates of entry and exit from the city of Sao Paulo, home to 38 of the 100 largest privately-owned. Its airport infrastructure plays a key role in the development of Brazil as a link to other main and important business centers.
One of the postcards of Sao Paulo, Congonhas and lever handles business opportunities, enabling faster transport in the capital. The integration of the airport road network is consecrated to the underpass under the Avenida Washington Luis, exclusive access to the airport.
The construction of a parking garage in partnership with private, secured the increase in the number of parking spaces. The parking area for taxis softens the impact on nearby communities who lived with the permanence of taxis on public roads surrounding the airport. In addition, the project envisaged construction of a square with 10.5 thousand square meters, setting a new space contribution to the landscaping in the city of Sao Paulo.
The old boarding areas gave way to new and more spacious air-conditioned areas. The board currently has 12 boarding bridges, which facilitate the attendance. A new landing area provides more comfort to users of Congonhas.
