Obviously, we will need to have an outlet for our celebrity spots on MiPo.

I'll start. On my way to LHR last time, I saw Margaret Mountford in Tavistock Square.

I know that's a rather tenuous BA link, but I wanted to get us going with our own celeb thread.

In keeping with the tenuous approach, whilst discussing a possible trip to DXB/MCT on BA over dinner on Friday night, we noted that Konnie Huq and Charlie Brooker were sat on the table next to us.

Meanwhile, the Other Half reported seeing Robson Green in the Flounge at T5 on Monday morning. And (Lord) Chris Smith was in the EDI lounge a couple of weeks back.

Well, whilst thinking about my next BA flight, I saw Robert Plant at a pub in Primrose Hill borders last night. He'd been to the Arsenal -v- Wolves game I think.

Hugh Dennis on the Piccadilly Line today - so, err, maybe he was on his way to T5? [IMG]

I have no idea who these people are except Robert Plant. If they have been in the reasonably priced car on Top Gear their mention is acceptable [IMG]

Is that JK as in Jamiroquai or JK as one of the DJ double act JK and Joel?

My cousins were on a flight in F with Willie Walsh. When they landed in Chicago he was met by a team of BA staff who whisked him away.

Piers Morgan in the CCR yesterday. He stood on my left as I was guesting Prospero in to the lounge. Piers flirted heavily and looked a bit roasted from sunshine.

He seemed quite perplexed the CCR receptionist had the temerity to engage in such trivial matters of mobile boarding passes. Worse, a MBP with the word Edinburgh emblased across the screen ;)

  13. Desmond TuTu was on my flight to LAX on Sunday. He was in F. I was upstairs surrounded by South Africans. I think they may have been journalists however not noticed anything particular on the news here about his visit. However there is so much going on in LA these days I'm not surprised.

  14. If only there was an option to forgo your guest privilege but instead be able to kick someone out of the lounge...

(Nothing personal Prospero, just thinking of the greater good).

Do we think Piers Moron is a Prem or was he just trying it on?

John Cusack at A4 waiting for an much delayed flight to BUD. He had a SS escort but is clearly not important enough to warrant a car...up until the point the delay slipped another 30mins when he was taken back to the CCR and subsequently whisked out in a people mover.

My all time favourite is Liam Gallagher in the CCR looking at me and saying "allright mate". I clearly looked like a scruffily dressed monkey that morning too!

  16. Like many who fly BA, did he wonder if the Champagne was Super or of no real value.

(Yes, it did take me the best part of the day to try and shoehorn the nova bit into the sentence above).

Will this do? Yesterday, I saw Kenneth Clarke near Westminster, just as a BA aircraft flew overhead.

    Recent celeb spots:

    Timothy Spalding in Club World
Theo Paphitis (of Dragons' Den fame) also in Club World. Alas, he didn't look overly impressed!

on a flight from LHR to LAX, Rod Stewart and Wife and Hugh Grant, all in First, singing and joking away I assume. Shame I could not join them but did stand next to Hugh who also had to collect his own luggage, welcome to the real world.
