Budget airline Cebu Pacific, airline-base in Philippines, is seeking the Civil Aeronautics Board’s (CAB) approval of its plan to fly to Sydney and Melbourne in Australia, and Moscow in Russia by 2014.

Cebu Pacific said in a petition filed with the CAB that it intends to offer daily flights to Australia using Airbus A330s starting February 2014.

The new route will form part of the airline’s long-haul operations. Cebu Pacific's first long-haul route—between Manila and Dubai—will start on October 7.

Cebu Pacific is also asking for additional seat entitlements from the regulator.
