Catch 22 when trying activate new membership!

    I recently flew Emirates from Japan to the UK and back. I requested to join Skywards when I checked in in Japan and they gave me a number printed on boarding pass stock. When I go to the Emirates website, however, there is no place to activate the membership!

    There is information that says to enter your membership number and password, but I have no password! When I try the password reminder, the site says that my membership number isn't in their system.

    Is their any solution to this besides a long phone call?

    If you have not solved this yet, just use their customer care help service, online. In my experience they respond within 24 hours, with the required rectification.
