President Raul Castro has said progress is being made in the government's push to relax travel restrictions for Cubans and make them 'more flexible', one of the most popular aspects of a recent reform drive.

In remarks to parliament late Monday, quoted by state media, Castro closed a twice-yearly session with lawmakers by discussing the implementation of a raft of reforms, including allowing small private businesses to operate in the communist country.

I've read a number of articles where the authors are saying that if free travel to Cuba is allowed for U.S. citizens, that Cuba will become another flavorless destination like Cancun.

I don't believe that will be true. Seeing as Canadians, Europeans & others already vacation there and Cuba hasn't lost it's flavor.

    Thoughts?
