Cash & Points Changed for exsiting res when Hotel went from 4 to 5

    I have a cash and points reservation made at the Westin NYC when it was still called Hemsley and category 4. I recently looked at my reservation online and now it has changed to requiring the cash & points for its current cat 5. This doesn't seem correct to do this. Should I call and try to get it back to cash and points for cat 4?

    Yes, I would contact Corporate Customer Service to have them confirm the old rate with the hotel. It's probably just a systems issue and the rate is still showing the same on their end, but better safe than sorry.

    Thanks for the info. I called and CS sent me an email with an updated reservation that listed it as the Westin and the Cash and Points for cat 4.
