Suggestions? For a car rental in Denver the end of October. Miles and low cost of course. You work hard to get those bonus miles where ever you can find them then it seems you get dinged with car rental fees.

E-Z Car Rental normally has pretty low rates at DEN.

Sent from my iPhone using milepoint

I rented a car for this week (9/21-9/25) and the lowest rate I could find by far was on hotwire. Less than half the price I could find using every single discount code I could find.

I've always found Denver to be an expensive place to rent a car, but keep an eye on it. I've usually been able to find a deal with Alamo in the past, but you gotta keep checking. One day they want close to $400 for a week, next day it's closer to $100, so find a good deal and grab it.

I've rented a lot from DEN, and found that Advantage usually has some of the better rates. Look around for discount codes, specials, and promos!

DEN can be pricey. I used Advantage last time and saved some $$. I once had someone pick me up and rented at an off-airport location and saved quite a bit more. If rates are insane, price out transportation to an off-airport rental and see if that makes sense.

That makes sense as airport fees/taxes/& other gouging runs about 25-30% at DEN IIRC.

Priceline, priceline, priceline. I've never paid more than $16 a day for a rental car and that was for a mid-size SUV.

I've always liked the Costco coupons for rental cars!
