I spent about 4 hours looking for a way to get from Chicago to either Rome or Venice ANYTIME in June or July using Avios and can't seem to find anything in business class w/o paying the ridiculous fees...if someone can find something, I'd really appreciate it. Nothing too complicated...just 2 biz seats to Italy...thanks so much
Well, it is if you don't want to pay the fees. FinnAir, AirBerlin or Iberia should have lower fees. Otherwise you're stuck. Also try Aer Lingus via DUB but the extra points required for the multiple connections may eat away the fee savings.
Same trip as this one? http://milepoint.com/forums/threads/widest-business-class-seat-to-europe.54296/ I don't know about OW, but during summer travel season UA/LH often offer "cheap" business class fares, which (a) might make it difficult to find award seats and (b) might make it less cost-effective to use award tickets. If you are traveling with a toddler/baby I'd think the routing wold be important, too. Minimizing connections wold be my priority.
I've looked on AA BA Quantas and EF. Still nothing. We can make it a contest Lol. Ill give 10,000 Hilton points for someone who find me a workable option.
did BA remove the ability to search for awards on its partners? When you could not find a flight you used to be able to check a box that said include partners. I no longer see this.
I believe that partners are now simply included by default rather than requiring an extra search to show.
