    After 10 years as the official airline of the Chicago Cubs, United Airlines has lost that designation to American Airlines. American Airlines has just signed a major deal to be the official airline of Chicago’s National League for several years. American Airlines is using this opportunity to put the word out there that this is one of their steps in trying to become “Chicago’s hometown airline.” Obviously, they want to try and steal the Chicago market from United Airlines, the airline that is really based in Chicago. Even though AA is now the official airline of the Cubs, the players do not need to fly AA to go to games. It has been well over 100 years since the Chicago Cubs have won a world series (1908) and has not been the Fall Classic since 1945.
