oooohhh this is a good deal to transfer! just move them around, and gte free points. that sounds great. also generates an account activity resetting the exipy timer.

No it won't work like that. You have to purchase the miles as a gift, not simply transfer. How sweet itwould be if transfers were allowed with the bonus...

wait. I misread that. I just tried to see if there were any additional fees to transfer points and it does not look like you can do just a straight transfer and get %50 bonus. you gift, buy buying them and just have them deposited elsewhere. shucks!

this could essentially equate to about a 50% discount on normal room rates in some cases. in the mid tier hotels it is probably a good bit less. ex:

    Paris Radisson Blu ~$500 night
    buy 34000 points
    get 51000 points

use 50000 points to book the room

    cost $238

    another example
many mid tier hotels are 28000 a night

to get that you buy 19000
    get 28500

    pay $133

not that big of a price differential for hotels in this category.

    hmm
award wallet list an expiration date on my CC points. Every time I have activity that date adjusts out.

My bad, had a brain freeze. Your have to have some sort of account activity every 24 months to prevent losing pts.

See my thread over on the British Airways area. I'm thinking of redeeming these for airline miles. Most of the airlines like delta, united, etc. don't seem worth it but I'm thinking British Airways Avois might be because they are points not miles and should be worth more. I'm not familiar enough with some of the other airlines listed by club carlson to know if there might be a better option than BA. I figure 40+20 is 60k for $280
