McLean residents will be able to catch a Fairfax Connector bus at the Tysons West*Park Transit Station and travel to Dulles International Airport, beginning June 30.
The new route serving Dulles International Airport from Tysons West*Park Transit Station, will have stops at Reston Town Center Transit Station and Herndon-Monroe Park and Ride. The transit station is located at Jones Branch Drive and International Drive.
The new route and changes to nearly 20 other routes will be discussed tonight at a public meeting hosted by the Fairfax County Department of Transportation (FCDOT) at the McLean Community Center.

Isn't it time that the whole of the USA embraces such services?

Took the 5A bus from Rosslyn to IAD just last week. Clean, nice and quick. It stopped at the above stops. $6 cash or a bit less on SmartTrip card. Senior SmartTrip for oldsters <heh> over 65 is really a bargain at $1.80 for that ride and great prices on the Metro and buses in DC.

FYI: The 5A already stops at the Tysons West*Park Transit Station, that’s the one stop on the way to/from Rosslyn. But this should be great for the workers as it should lower the price for their commute.

We ride the 5A whenever we fly from Dulles - including our First or Business points flights... You cannot beat the convince and price.

I do hope that this may encourage WMATA to end its stops at Tysons and Herndon on the 5A. The things that bus must do to get into and out of Herndon westbound adds 10 or so minutes to the trip, and it always vexxes me.
