It seems wrong to "Like" this, but drawing attention to it is definitely the right thing to do.

Wow, that's really shocking to me. This seems like a violation of privacy in so many ways.

Stuff happens sometimes, especially when you're operating a large eCommerce website. The only thing that would be shocking to me is if they did nothing to address it, but the article clearly states that a fix was made.

I discovered an issue with the first version of the mileage transfer tool that was released last year to move miles between your MileagePlus and OnePass accounts. That first version stored your FFP account number and PIN/password in plain text in a hidden form field. While your FFP account isn't as sacrosanct as, say, your bank account, that is still a big no no. I reported it and a fix was made, though I'm not certain if it was due to my report or not. In the end, it doesn't matter.

Software will forever and always have bugs, and some of those bugs will need to be fixed. To expect perfection is to invite disappointment.

I remember one day when I logged onto CO, I was seeing other peoples' account info. And they were people I knew from here and FT. Really weird stuff!

I think it's fixed but I must imagine United was rolling out United Dating Services dba United Airlines or something.

DateLock, pay $7.99 to sit next to the person you'd like to get to know to.

Hey, if the seating of family members on other PNRs would stick for a small price of $7.99 I would be ready to pay.

Would be nice too if seeking apps worked on board. It doesn't anymore.

Well I for one would love to know if I'm sitting next to Stabby McGee or something, just to be prepared.

The fact someone would have cards printed like this means this is their normal and expected behavior.

No surprise that all of these cards have male names on them. :p
