Located in Belgrano, a quick 15 minute cab ride away from most of the popular tourist hotels in Recoleta, Palermo and Centro, Pura Tierra is one of the best kept culinary secrets of Buenos Aires. Martin Molteni, chef and owner of Pura Tierra is a true Celebrity Chef in South America, he is regularly featured in the Food Networks across Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Uruguay and Paraguay... and despite this still takes time to get his fingers wet inside his kitchen.

Pura Tierra combines traditional European techniques with Argentine ingredients... its a great place to have not only a big piece of dead cow but to also enjoy small birds, fish and seafood, and pasta dishes with a twist. The menu is short, changes by season, and is also adjusted on a daily basis regarding specific ingredients if the days availability is not up to par.

Ambiance and service are great... Martin has a loyal staff who has been with him for a long time... Pablo is at the helm of wine service and does an excellent job... not your stuffy regular Sommeliere but a good friendly and practical approach towards wine service.

A la carte, or with one of the two tasting menu options... Pura Tierra is an amazing value. BYOB is also possible, call in advance and check for details.

note: no affiliation, etc.... Im just a regular customer and a good friend of Chef Molteni
