Since I started visiting Milepoint, my Firefox browser has been repeatedly crashing. I can't pin it down to this site, but it does not seem to crash at all until I visit here. Then it's only a matter of time. I'm using v 3.6.13 on Fedora Linux. Has anyone else run int:( this?

It might be a Linux and FF interaction, not this site in particular.

The only platform where I had browser crashes so far was iPAD. Otherwise, I am successfully using IE8, FF on W7x32 and iPhone 4 (with certain limitations).

With a few random exceptions, IE9 RC seems to work fine too.

What is your OS version? This could help the dev team tracking down the issue too

I've had a bit of the opposite reaction. The site will hang for me in IE 7.0.6002 (usually when checking alerts) and it won't even come up in a new tab, but if I go to Firefox, it works fine.

Safari on Mac OS 10.6.5 has crashed on me a few times, latest time using multiple chat.

That said, I find the features MUCH better than another site some of us also use.

Constant crashes. Sometimes just having a MP tab open and interacting with other sites in a different tab will cause it to crash. I can't peg those crashes on MP, but previous to coming here FF crashes were fairly uncommon. They are a many, many time per day occurrence now. I'll see if I can capture some error logs next time it happens.

    Ubuntu Linux, Kernel 2.6.34 x86_64
    Firefox 3.6.13

Safari on OSX, after opening and closing tabs to view threads / forums several times, it starts to get slower and slower, as if it were trying to clean something out of the cache. CPU usage also goes up. Then a time comes when I close a tab and Safari crashes.

Same here, noticed that it is crashing from time-to-time upon loading of thread, etc. Maybe we can hope for a MilePoint iPad app? :)

I'm still having this issue, which appears t:( be the same as what shane is experiencing.

    Distro: Fedora 14.
    Kernel: 2.6.35.11-83.fc14.x86_64
    Firefox: 3.6.13 (from a Fedora 14 package)

From further observation it may be some conflicts with flash player. My crashes will leave behind npviewer.bin processes that are consuming lots of CPU. Also it will kill flash VMs in other tabs.

I sometimes have problems loading pages. Last night, It was also extremely slow to move from thread to thread. I'm using IE8 on a Windows machine.

One word, and one number: Firefox 4. :) It's beta, but it's stable, and it's fast.

I don't like green eggs and ham. :)

OK ... what about Chrome? I think that's the only other realistic option on Mac OS?

I had occasional problems with Safari (well before MilePoint appeared on my radar, made the change to Chrome (hated to do it because I'm such a fanboy of Apple) but it has made a word of difference. Just my personal experience.

I was just going to post this. This morning, fed up with the constant crashes, I installed Firefox 4. I've had no problems so far and I've been using it for over an h:)ur!
