    It appears that US airlines are taking extra precaution in Israel after last week’s attack on Malaysia Air flight 17. Tuesday morning, US Airways, United, and Delta announced that they were suspending service to Israel after there was a rocket attack near Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv. The attacks come after weeks of conflict between Israel and Hamas. Rocket attacks have been a frequent occurrence, but with the rockets getting closer, these companies are not taking any chances. It was not said whether last week’s shooting down of Malaysia Air flight 17 had anything to do with the decision, but surely it must be in the back of their minds to make a decision to prevent any possible catastrophe that could occur with rocket fire near the airport.
