KTVU live video. Reporter says there was a tail strike on landing, tail broke off, and plane continued down runway catching fire. Been very windy at the top of the Bay today so they may have the same high winds down there.
Youtube video shows fuselage intact but I don't see the tail. Slides deployed. If it was a cargo plane, would the slides deploy?
SFFD spokesperson tells KTVU they have 45 units on scene. There are 3 airport fire stations.They don't have info on number of passengers on board.
