The horror. I didn't feel a thing, but it was near Pacifica. I certainly hope you don't have to nudge any of your slightly off-balance wall decor back into place.

I felt it -- some pretty strong shaking but very brief. (I'd classify it as "exciting" shaking more than "scary" shaking.) It was over before I could figure out if I should think about taking cover. I was only about 2-3 miles away from the epicenter.

I didn't think a 3.7 in the bay area was particularly newsworthy, but apparently the anniversary of the 1906 earthquake makes all earthquakes newsworthy.

Earthquakes in the 3's are not uncommon in the Bay Area. A few years ago a 4.2 came through and I literally saw the floor move. The 5.2 in 2006(?) that hit the San Jose area during a Sharks vs Avalanche hockey game was quite surreal.

But 3 is about the lowest an earthquake can register and still feel something.

And just a reminder as to who's boss ;). Felt it pretty good in SF and surprisingly so for such a small shaker

The USGS map shows that there were 6 or more 3+ earthquakes in California/Nevada in just the last week. Two of them were 4+. These are hardly newsworthy!
