I received an email for a screening to The Bourne Legacy on Thursday Aug 9th at 8:00pm in Los Angeles. It is the night before it goes into wide release. And, the email said to check out the JFK terminal in the movie. This is one of the first, if not the first time, that I have been sent this kind of offer from American. I will not be attending, but I really appreciated getting it. BZ American.

(I am a local LA platinum. I would assume this is a targeted offer.)

They offered some tickets on Facebook, too. They've really upped their game in the outreach department lately, mostly through social media.

    Too bad you can't go.

HHonors is also offering this. Seems to be targeted as other HHonors members I know didn't get it. There are two showings in San Francisco tomorrow night, 7pm and 8pm.

BTW, long-time lurker, finally signed up for an account. This is a great community and the premium membership finally got me to sign up. Thanks Randy, Gary and MP!

I think it is good that they are upping their game. "Loyalty" programs should have more avenues that generate goodwill.

I agree, though there are many who seem to have a great dislike for airlines using social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc) to reach customers. As long as they're engaging their customers through new and traditional methods simultaneously, I don't mind at all.

American Airlines Europe/Social Media has had similar "contests" for the movie here in London as well.
