Bought a normal award with UA. Is there a way to set up an alert for a saver award?

Hey guys. I'm pretty new to this reward booking thing so I'd like some input on this. I recently booked a flight somewhere and was only able to find the standard award for the return trip. Is there an easy way to set up an alert to let me know if a saver economy or saver business/first seat opens on that that itinerary for a specific date range? That'd be super awesome! Thanks guys!

Yes, do you have an ExpertFlyer account?

Can your tool search for Business and First Class seats? Never used it but I don't see anywhere to enter class of service. Thanks.

Yes, you can limit what it alerts you on. Paid subscribers get more filters but even the free version includes class of service.

For general searches those filters aren't there but they are on the alerts interface.

Hey thanks for the two. For my needs which option would I use ? Award availability? What if it's a two leg flight one with air china and one with united? Is there also the option to search a date range ?

I think it's a good enough tool for you to try and check it out first...

You can either set up alerts on the individual segments or hope that the system figures out the routing you want and checks it naturally. It usually does IME if it actually is a normal connection.

For a date range you need to specify separate alerts for each date.

And paid subscription is ridiculously affordable...the best value in the award booking notification/availability space (KVS, AwardNexus, EF, etc.)

Alerts work (very well) for oneworld searches. The real-time bit isn't working and I haven't had time to figure it out and fix it.

Cool, other than than that, love the low fare finder. I've been looking for something that would do that for a long time.

    What about OW award search?

The data there is bad right now; don't get too excited. I'm working on it though.

On the roadmap to get working eventually. not sure when that will happen timing-wise. As noted above the alerts do work.

Big +1 for WA's search tool. I've found it to be extremely useful when keeping tabs on Star availability!

Ah OK, when you do get around to it, can you include an option to include taxes and surcharges? I don't know if that data is even available??

I'm very intrigued by your web app. I am a .NET architect by trade and would love to help out if you ever need. I've got some good ideas of other tools to develop for us FF fanatics.

I've already got a tool that helps manage all the credit cards we sign up for. I originally created it just to track bills and credit card payments, but I see a niche where we could add in a lot more functionality to track min spend requirements, etc.

Check it out, let me know what you think.
