    Hi,

We are based in Taipei and am hoping to use our SkyMiles to book flights b/w TPE & SE Asia over Christmas. I know about the CI blackout dates, so I was thinking Indonesia with the new partner, Garuda. Does anyone have any experience booking them? Economy is fine, we are a family of 4 so miles is just a way to save on cash outlay. We also don't have to have all flights be award tickets.

Also, since there Skymiles offers open jaw, would this be a valid routing?
TPE-DPS-TPE (stopover) -NRT (over Spring Break)

I want to make sure I'm maximizing the use of miles. Thank you!

Many partner flights cannot be booked on line; you must call DL.

However, in many cases, you can check award inventory on line (through EF, KVS, or some SkyTeam partner website) to find possibilities before calling. This is highly recommended.

Thank you - I know about calling to book flights; I wanted to make sure I had a valid routing there because I've also heard that my success may vary depending on the agent who answers my call.
