Does anyone have tips on how to minimize fuel surcharges when using Skypass miles? I'm wanting to book 4 business tickets from SFO to CDG next year on AF's A380. (transferring UR points) I called today and they said the tickets would run $650 each....ouch!!

Does anyone know if Delta has fuel surcharges when booked via Skypass?

It isn't about the airline you're flying (in some limited cases it can be), as much as the routes you fly. Airlines whose frequent flyer programs add fuel surcharges to awards will charge you what the amount would be on a paid ticket. US domestic (and Australia domestic!) routes don't have fuel surcharges. US-South America generally won't either. US-Europe usually will. There are some destinations, like Hong Kong, where fuel surcharges tend to be low.
