Given the shifting of fare classes between Tango and Flex, it appears AVION will now book mostly into Tango fare classes and thus no longer will these flights be upgradeable, and often not earn 100% mileage. Has anyone had recent experience with redeeming Avios award tickets and getting them in Flex fare buckets?

Unable to change thread title...should read AVION.

This would seem to be a major devaluation of Avion?

Yes, sorry should read AVION, the RBC scheme.

  5. IIRC you can book into any class as long as you don't exceed the max dollars allowed for that point range or pay the difference

The only way to book AC on Avios would be to book AA or AS on a route that AC operates and hope for IRROPS. ;)

You should ask a mod to change the title for you.
