My boss is booked in A for his flights this week. He has no status.

When checking in online, he was asked if he wanted to purchase access to the Premier Line. Is access to the Premier check in line not included with an A ticket? He is connecting from our podunck airport (which does not have a Premier check in line) on a Y segment to his A segment. So Premier check in not an issue with the out-bound, but will be an issue when he returns from IAD.

Also, any good primers on the difference between domestic A and F fare buckets? Thanks. -- Suzanne

Yes, he will. F is full fare first class, A is discounted fare first class. The check-in process offers all the extra features you can buy, and it isn't really smart enough to know that you're already on a first class fare and thus have access to the Premier services at the airport.

Everything is the same except one thing...

F- Fully Refundable and do not have to pay change fees
A- Not fully refundable and change fees will apply

Like Mackieman said, one is full fare and the other is discounted.
