I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction to book the cook. I have two long haul segments in SQ first and was hoping to maximize the experience! How far out can I book the cook? Is it something like two weeks prior to departure? TIA!

And you could be, too. Pointing the OP to the answer rather than telling them to go look somewhere else would be quite a bit more friendly, methinks.

Go to manage your booking on the SQ site (http://www.singaporeair.com/jsp/cms/en_UK/plan_and_book/manage-booking.jsp) and there is a section for special meal requests in there. The choices are different by departure city with the full list available here: http://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/flying-with-us/bookthecooklanding/.

You can book the cook at any time once your itinerary is booked.

Seth, thank you for the reply and salient insight!

Skyvan, I did search with google. It yielded less than satisfactory answers, hence why I posted in the trusted forum of milepoint.

Any suggestions for both a Singapore and Frankfurt departure?

Gary recently wrote about his best airline meal ever as a book the cook option, unfortantly it didn't really explain what the of flavors made it so good:

I plan to order the Japanese meal for breakfast out os SIN, because breakfast is a tough one for me to really enjoy. Otherwise I think I'll pass on the other book the cook option. I always feel like I should pass on the lobster because that's available in the US.
