Looks like you can now book SWISS award tickets on CO.com. And by book, I mean the very limited availability that seems to be the norm with LX award seats to/from the US.

But you can find some availability:

If it happens, it will be on CO.com which will be the website for the future.

But I don't have any inside knowledge, so perhaps some of the Continental-insider MP members can shed light on the plans to add Ethiopian (as well as any other airlines) to the mix.

I'm sure they plan to. It is just a matter of when they build the systems. They made the commitment a few years ago to have as many partners as possible online to reduce agent calls.

leaving or coming into NY , I still like ANAs site, since ANA will show me JFK & EWR at the same time, although if flying beyond say ZRH or GVA then it will be a 2 step process. eg NY-ZRH and then check ZRH-ZAG while CO will probably show EWR-ZAG on LX if its available

NY is the only place in the US that LX will fly to more then 1 airport in the same city

The functionality comes and goes, but right now NYC works for all three airports on co.com.

Particularly since EWR will get the A343 instead of the PrivatAir all business 737s starting on March 31st.

Great news! Can imagine it could open up some intra-Europe opportunities.

These changes are of course good.. but they may ring the death knell for intelligent award routings that the general public were not aware of. I mean how many of CO flyer even know that you can travel on Swiss Air with CO miles

If the inventory is available it should show online. The CO site supports 3-cabin inventory pretty well IME.

This is excellent news if this sticks around because it does come and go as Wandering Aramean mentions... I have a MIA-ZRH-NRT ticketed from last week but I used the ANA tool.

Are there easy ways to transfer points from US multi-point programs (spg, Amex mr, chase sapphire) into LH/LX m+m?

NO on the AMEX MR piece. At least nothing that I've seen that would be "easy".

I'm actually considering piecing together some excellent LX/LH F redemptions in the Middle East ;) for May.

Looks like you'll have some great options! I'll have to wait til october/november to see what LH has open....unless of course they change their availability policy.....

I've got a stopover on LX from DUB-ZRH reserved as of now, and I'm wondering how the product is on LX in first/biz on intra-European flights on a A321?

Basically the same as most other European carriers. Blocked middle seat and a better meal service, but that's about it. I wouldn't get too excited about it.
