Thanks for the reminder on this. But they never say if the free admission is just for the cardholder or for the cardholder and a guest. Does anyone know?

Thanks. I'm cool with going to museums alone, but there goes my free first date idea.

Exactly what my girlfriend and I used it for. Just wish I had gone earlier to get a tour inside the concorde!

Getting to see the concorde is the main reason i've been wanting to go. While the Intrepid was being repaired they had it parked at Floyd Bennett Field but I never heard of it being open.

They apparently now do tours that you have to sign up in advance for and restrict the number of people that can go...at least that's how it worked the last time I was there.

Yeah the wife and I lucked out last year... strange confluence of events when we were visiting a friend in Philly and happened upon a museum (which is no longer on the list) on the first weekend of the month. We both have BofA debit cards and when I went to pay the guy said "oh you can get in for free" -- saved us like $50. :)

You can still do 2 free tickets. Get an authorized cardholder on your account :) and you will have your first date free ;)

Maybe you should only date BoA cardholders.

I live in the D.C. area. No shortage of free museums. But I thought I might be able to impress somebody with how cool I was with the Philips Collection.

But, hey, he can pay his own way :)

No way - that can earn 2x points somewhere else. ;) Pick something less valuable. Ha ha. I should actually give my BOA card a little love as well.

It can earn 2x points? Where and how? Even it will earn more then 1x point per dollar spent, it still has pretty poor redemption options.

Well I guess it depends where you buy your coffee, but if you get it at some place like Starbucks, Dunkin' Donuts, etc... then it is classified as a restaurant that will earn 2x points on a card like the Chase Sapphire Preferred. The BOA cards I know of do have pretty poor redemption options which is why I would put the coffee expense on a better card and save a purchase for the BOA card that doesn't earn 2x anywhere. (of course this was really just somewhat of a joke since a coffee isn't going to make or break points earnings anywhere). ;)

That is why I have not used my BOFA card for a few years.

PS: If you buy a coffee for about $2 each day with the card or at the place that will earn you 2x, you are looking at additional 1460 points each year. :D
