BofA killing off Alaska debit card

    Much in the way they did with their US Airways card, it looks like the miles-earning debit card for Alaska is going bye as well.

    Just got a letter in the mail with the news, with a target date of May 31st 2014

    I have one, but rarely use it. Almost all of my spending goes on my AS credit card. Sucks to loose the option though. Thanks, Dick Durbin! :rolleyes:

    Frankly, I'm a bit surprised that this card lasted as long as it did after the Durbin Amendment. I did get half of the yearly fee refunded, which I suppose is better than a sharp stick in the eye.

    Got my new debit card in the mail over the weekend. I guess it was a good run while it lasted, but I'll give it a few more weeks before I officially switch cards :)
