At London Heathrow how does the BMI lounge compare to the Star Gold Lounge?

I am connecting through lhr, is it worth going top the BMI lounge?

what does the bmi lounge offer.??? I was thinking I might try it but have no idea how it is in comparsion to the Offical Star Gold lounge at LHR

It depends on how long is your connection as well as from which gate are you going to depart.
BMI Lounge is to the direction of Gate 1-12 & 60-90.
StarAlliance Lounge is towards Gate 16-49.
Quiet a distance to walk through those shops. :)
IMHO, BMI Lounge has its unique lounge interior design.

Also assumes departing from LHR T1. If flying AC, SK, SQ, (others?) then use T3 and no access to either of those lounges (T3 has AC/SK and SQ lounges).

I was there again this morning (LHR T1). Checked out both lounges.

BD: Austin Powers decor, crappy Iron Maiden I-net kiosks. Not too crowded. Gracious host.
Star: hardly any power outlets. Crowded before the UA bank of departures in mid-morning. Functional hosts.

T3 and AC have a nice lounge.

Hot food, newspapers also. Didn't sample the alcohol, it was too early for that.

The BD lounge is NOT DILBERTIAN. Yet.

Are you on some sort of commission to mention this 'word' in every post?

Other than that, your review didn't mention that the BD lounge has apron views, the *A one does not.

Muahaha! Not commission. But if I don't describe BA and its program as more - or less, sometimes - "Dilbertian" then the board members would rightly wonder if a. my ID has been hijacked by one of the BA apologist clique or b. I was experiencing onset of a serious mental condition.

Ah, it recalls the good ol' days when we had lively debate about this in The Other Place. Five years ago:

The part about pax carried/market cap of FR vs BA was most entertaining.

    Things have developed since then.

According to me, definetely the best lounge in T1. My favourite part is the view on the airport itself, while food and beverages don't make a difference.
*G Lounge is smaller, darker and generally busier.

There's a longer walk to do in most cases but it's well worth.
