Bird Strike...

    Always interesting when you look out the window and see this for the plane that you're supposed to be flying...Turns out a bird hit the nose of the plane while it was landing in Orlando Sunday 2/27/11 that dented the nose.

    Luckily it seems replacing the nose is a piece of cake:

    Hats off to the Continental/United crew for getting the plane back in service quickly enough that we landed only 30 minutes late!

    Clearly that nose cone does not match the paint scheme of the new plane. You should ask for compensation.

    Just kidding, of course.

    I'm sure this happens enough that they have plenty of spares. That nose cone has quite a few vital instruments in there.

    What’s worse is when they serve poultry after a bird strike, I hate picking out the feathers.
