You know those silly Facebook scams that say something along the lines of: “‘Like this and share it to become a PlayStation 4 play tester. You even get to keep the system when you’re done!”

Who wouldn’t want to be a PS4 tester, right? So, naturally, you ‘like’ the post. Then your friends see it, and they do the same. The chain mail has begun.
News flash: Nobody is getting a free PlayStation 4.

But the same scam format has now found its way to Instagram. The following fake account’s description reads:

WestJet is proud to announce that the first 25k followers to share @WestJet_airlines will receive two round-trip tickets to anywhere in Canada or USA.
Obviously WestJet would never actually run a contest like this. Giving away 25,000 pairs of tickets is a good way to bankrupt yourself.

But that hasn’t stopped gullible Instagram users from following the account in hopes of receiving free airline tickets. Not a single image has not even been uploaded to the fake account, which is interesting, especially considering Instagram is a photograph sharing service.
