Randy Petersen's InsideFlyer magazine is writing an article summing up the best/worst coming from frequent travel programs in 2011. If there is anything that strikes you as good or bad about a frequent flyer or hotel program this year - like a good bonus promotion or a bad policy change - please let us know.

What would you put on your best/worst list?

If you'd like to read the article, it will be posted in December at www.insideflyer.com .

    Thanks for your input.

I'm not happy that every room offered by Hilton for HHonors Points is not also offered for Points and Cash.

I'm disappointed by the reduction in number of CR1 and SWU upgrades from United (and the general increase in difficulty using SWUs).

Hyatt extending 4 pm checkout to elites was a good move in my book.

+1! Although the lack of FFN from Hyatt this year is disappointing.

    Delta Air Lines:
    Worst:
    - SkyMiles Program - award calendar/redemption; 72-hour rule for changing bookings
    - International Upgrades - very pricey Y/B/M fares required to use SWU's, even for highest tier customers
    - International Surcharges - YQ seems to be very high at times, despite existing taxes.

    Best:
    - In flight experiences, both in economy and business class have been very good. Addition of Yotel as an arrivals facility for TATL flights into LHR has been great!
    - IRROPs - DL has handled the various weather issues I've dealt with (namely winter weather) very well.
    - London Heathrow SkyTeam Lounge - while not owned by DL, it is an excellent lounge that I'm happy to use when flying out of LHR

NOT SO GOOD: Hilton does not offer guaranteed 4PM late-check out for Golds // Diamonds! This MUST change to keep up with other programs!

GOOD: Hilton's policy of free breakfast for Golds // Diamonds and for Diamonds guaranteed Executive Lounge Access whatever the room type booked!

Good: American Airlines adding Etihad Airways as a redemption partner!
Bad: UA's "enhanced" lowest elite level (Premier/2P) that doesn't allow Y+ seat selection at booking
