I've got to make a quick trip ORD-OSL in January - out on a Tuesday or Wednesday and back on a Sunday. Does anyone have any data around SWU (as a UA 1K) performance on the EWR-OSL flight? My options look to be either flying ORD-EWR-OSL on CO or going to ORD-MUC/FRA/AMS on UA and taking a quick hop up to OSL.

I've never flown CO internationally so I don't have any sense for how things go on the 757s.

If leaving from ORD, you might also want to look into flying UA ORD to LHR and connecting on SAS to OSL. I flew this route back in October and it was quite easy. I've never had a problem clearing on the ORD-LHR legs (knock on wood), but perhaps have just been lucky.

You could also look into SK from ORD-ARN-OSL.

Not if you want to use a SWU to upgrade.

    Missed that part!
However, on SK it's also possible to score an upgrade via Optiontown.

Does the fbooked = 16 and cleared 2 mean that there were two no-shows and two battlefields?

It means that the flight departed with 16 up front and 2 of them were considered upgrades of any sort, at least of a sort that is displayed in the public means we have to view such things.

Interesting. I can venture a guess as to where the data is being scraped from but that's interesting data nonetheless.

Sounds like though I ought to look at the tried and true UA ORD-Europe and then hop up to OSL on LH/etc.
