A very memorable burger, at Bradley Ogden Caesars Las Vegas this past December. That trip, also included a quick stop at In-N-Out Burger (the Vegas stretch limo trippie to In-N-Out); but this still topped that burger.

House ground burger with blue cheese on a brioche bun at Bradley Ogden.

From a review, I found a bit after dining there... I pretty much agree with the review :

"Its appearance is deceptively simple. Soft house made roll with just enough cushion, fresh ground rib-eye that is generously basted with red wine butter and all of it cooked over wood fired grill. It comes with hand cut French fries and a trio of ketchup, mayo and a heavenly Dijon mustard. You can also get the burger with either blue cheese or cheddar if you so incline"

The best that I have had recently was one that I made myself. I posted the photographs in food porn.

Very nice, but I personally think a robust red wine goes best with a burger. [IMG]

I don't have burgers out that often; but another memorable burger of mine was the angus burger with foie gras at Burger Bar Mandalay Bay... I might even have a picture of that somewhere.....

I had a "Tasty Burger" at Ikeda's in Auburn, CA (off I-80 on the way to Lake Tahoe). I've been going there since I could walk, and they are quite tasty. Pies are pretty good, too.

Relish in West Palm Beach, FL... went there after seeing a slew of 5 star reviews on Yelp. It did not disappoint and I'm looking forward to a burger there on Tuesday!!!

There's a smallish Southern CA chain called The Habit that just opened a store in our town.

VERY good burger....one of the best I've had recently.

Their "secret" is their char-grilling process.

And then there's the 5" tall, $17 burger at Spring Hill in West Seattle:

I'd go with the sirloin burgers at the Hitchin' Post in Buellton, CA. The sirloin burgers at Firestone Brewery (same town) are a close second.

The green chili burger and the lamb burger at Bert's Burger Bar in Santa Fe, NM are pretty damn good... as well as the green chili cheese burger at the Owl Bar in San Antonio, NM. I'd recommend them all.

A cheeseburger with mustard and fried onions at Kopps in Milwaukee, WI area. They have 3 stores, Brookfield, Brown Deer, and Greenfield. Excellent burgers and custard.

I like The Chuckbox in Tempe, AZ (Great Big w/ cheese and hot sauce). In-N-Out is always good for quick burgers, but I like to make them at home so I can doctor them up my way (usually homemade habanero salsa, cheese, onions in and on the patty, sometimes ham or bacon, hot sauce and mustard).

I make Amy's veggie burgers fairly often at home for dinner. I love them. Bun, dill pickle, onion slice, tomato, lettuce, cheese, ketchup, mustard, mayo, and Amy's California Veggie Burgers. I have tried other brands, but the texture of Amy's is amazing. :)

Yum, yum, yum. I will take a pic the next time I make one. You will be sooooooooo jealous.

P.S., I tried a veggie burger on a ship in the Caribbean this winter, with exactly the same condiments, and it was nasty. It just didn't have the texture of Amy's.

Unless it's made with the flesh of a dead animal, it should be against the law to call it a burger. I guarantee you I will not be jealous of a picture of what appears to be wood chips glued together to make a "burger" patty.

My Santa Fe choice is Bobcat Bite's green chili cheeseburger. Also, a great burger at Sobelmann's in Milwaukee. Personally, I find Kopp's burgers to be larger but rather flavorless, although I love their custard.

As far as fast food, I'm a big fan of In N Out's double double animal style.

Do you have any stats on that burger (how big, how much beef, bacon, etc)?

From the picture, it looks like Chimpy likes a bottle of Smirnoff with his burger, and perhaps a dash of Coke[IMG]

900gm Mince and 500gm of bacon. Not all the bacon made it onto the burger, I could not resist eating some as I cooked it. [IMG]

The best burger I recently had was at Play Off, an american Sports bar in HAJ. I go there at least once a month. I love their food. If you ever come to HAJ, send me a PM and I'll show you my favorite sports bar. :)

I lived for some years across the street from there at 31 Jane Street. The burgers were addictive. I have not had one of those for a very long time. It is good to know that they still have not changed. No kitchen anywhere could be much smaller.

I must go with the heretics. Houston's in Coral Gables, Florida under the able direction of Cindy Norman (how many chef of a chain restaurant are known to anybody other than their mothers?) produces a veggie burger that surpasses all others in sublime ecstasy. Sadly I cannot summon a photo.

Don't give me lectures about the necessity of carnivore behavior unless you have already tried her's. Also don't imagine that any other Houston's compared with this one. It does not. I tried others, they are not the real thing.

Just had the Black Label Burger at Minetta Tavern in NYC after a long while. It's like a steak on a bun. Delicious.
