July/August is not available to book yet; so wait till around July to start searching.

I dont know where you're flying from, but a simple XXX - LHR/CDG - FRA/CDG/BRU/VIE - LHR/CDG - XXX should not be hard. Just use UA.com multi city tool

You still have one stopover/open jaw left... so you could do XXX - LHR - YYY; get yourself to CDG & then CDG - XXX is okay.

    If you do

LAX - CDG //Open Jaw// LHR - LAX (Stop) HNL

    that should be fine.

You don't want to do LHR-LAX. Departure taxes that way. Better to fly INTO London and out of Paris fee-wise.

@GreenCal Yes, Award booking can be confusing and frustrating to get the trips you want. I have been flying for decades and I still don't know all the tricks.

If you can NOT find the seats you want, I suggest using an Award Booking service. There are a number of them available.

For myself, I LOVE Ben at http://www.pointspros.com He does an excellent job with booking business and first class seats (and I'm sure coach is as good but I don't book those - yes, I am a snob).

Ben does open Jaws for me all the time without trouble. I can not say enough good things about him. He also runs a blog at http://boardingarea.com/blogs/onemileatatime

In business class the difference should be ~$100 at least. The APD out of UK for long-haul is a beast.
