    Hi all,

Yesterday in the USPS mail I received a packet containing the first info I've seen to date outlining what card benefits are staying vs. going when Citi becomes the primary "new" AA issuer. I posted this in the comments over on Gary's blog, but I thought it would be more useful here:

    Benefits Ending 12/31/2014
    • Companion certificate ($99/pp + tax/fees)
    • 10,000 Preferred qualifying miles after spending a net $25,000 on the card
    • US Air Club day pass
    • US Air Club membership discount coupon ($75 off)
    • 1st Class check-in when traveling in coach

    New "Exciting" Benefits For 2015
    • 10% mileage refund when redeeming towards award travel (like Citi's current offer)
    • 25% discount on in-flight purchases
    • $100 flight discount coupon after net $30,000 in purchases each year
    • "Additional redemption flexibility" -- notes the ability to enhance your award travel experience by having the option for 1-way awards and 1st class upgrades
    • "More details coming soon"

All in all, I'm not seeing too many compelling reasons to keep this over and above my Citi AA card...

Well son, just go out and spend 30,000.00 and you will get $100.00 off your ticket.....

Now keep the Arrival Card, spend 30k, and get $600.00 to do whatever you want...

I vote for the Arrival Card...or. 3 AA Ex cards! with the 30k spend.

    Just a thought...

    No math,

Spend 30k, and get a $100 flight discount...not my choice...

Arrival get 2 cent rebate per buck spent....3 bucks is 6 cents, just move the zeros...$600.00 cash will not get the boat very far..

AA Ex spend 10k and they will give you 100k miles,
30k and you will have 300k AA Miles, ...

300k should get you a trip around the world..

Sometime you have to get the drift, to hold the course.between the wind and the current you could get lost...if you just use line of sight navigation.
