I was just looking at this today and the Barclay's NFL card does not get nearly as much press at it deserves. It has zero annual fee, it's a Barclay's card so it pulls from TU, and the 40,000 bonus points can be used as a statement credit worth $400.

The cynical person in me thinks it is over looked because bloggers are not paid to push it. Although, the most likely reason it gets over looked is because it cannot be used for aspirational first class travel. That being said, $400 is $400. I will be using to offset the cost of a condo in Maui in November. I just added it to my list of cards for my churn on Tuesday.

    Here is the link.

Weird, it was $400 for me. Well I guess I should say it was $400 when I tested the link before posting. Thanks for correcting.

If memory serves me correctly, it is also the only card whose points can be used for Superbowl tickets.

This is why I overlook it. Everyone has their own preferences, but if it can't be used for F/J travel, I'm not interested.

I get that. I was overlooking cash back cards too until all the recent hotel devaluations. Now I am taking a closer look at them.

$400 is a perfectly decent sign up bonus, IMO. Thanks for sharing!

I will say that a search for Barcaly’s NFL affiliate program on Google brings up four posts from our favorite bloggers on the first page (For me):
    https://www.google.com/search?q=Barclay's+NFL+affilate+program

    Covered by:
Million Mile Secrets (two links – he has better SEO I guess)
    Mommy Points
    Rapid Travel Chai

    So it is mentioned some.

$400 is a great option, in some ways better than say a points based card that gives you $400 in travel money only through a specific booking site (i.e. Flex Perks or other).

You guys have no idea how happy I am to have stumbled upon this thread. I was planning to apply for the Delta 45k offer today, and wanted one more to add to the arsenal (preferably no annual fee). I saw the NFL card and thought it was cool but for the 10k points offer I wasn't going to both, figured id wait for something better. Then as luck would have it I find this thread and boom 40k. Instant approval for both cards today, another round is in the books.

    Thanks guys!
