Checked my booking for tonight, PNH-BKK on PG, and it's listing the flight as:

Bangkok Airways / Operated by: OPS BY DRUK AIR AIRCRAFT
    Non-Stop / PG 0936
    Cabin: Economy / Airbus A319

I didn't even know these two airlines were related in any way.

Last time I flew PG we were on a Edelweiss A320. I believe they source extra capacity during various parts of the year !

This isn't an extra capacity situation, it's a regular flight, in fact the usual flight I take on PG. A few months back they added a 4th flight to the daily schedule BKK-PNH vv and it uses an ATR72. This is just an odd situation.

The flight I am referring to above was from BKK to PNH on Edelweiss aircraft/pilots, FA were PG! Then this is at least the second time for your odd situation [IMG]!

LOL, well, I'll be en-route in a few short hours and will let you know on the other side. If it's possible to get a pic of the Druk Air plane in PNH that would be cool too. :D

NB: Darkness might not allow a pic, but I'll try.

With electricity costing $0.25/kwh it will take a bit more than that.[IMG]
Maybe need to tip an extra 1000 KHR. [IMG]

They've finished some long term work in here (I'm currently past immigration/security et al). The area near gate 5 is open for business and I just noticed a transfer security area. Big times in little Pochentong.

Transfer area....that is good! Have they finished the taxi way yet or do they still go to the end of the runway and do a 360?[IMG]

  9. Been on the Edelweiss 320 a few times. Wet leased.
Doesn't surprise me about Drukair. Cheaper

I never had the pleasure, and while my better half has flown the new Cambodia Angkor Air, I'd prefer not to, mainly because I find it priced insanely.

Well, Druk Air has a nice 319. Good leg room, seat has nice width as well. Beer was on the cart (unlike TG) but warm. Row 8 is the exit row and row 7 has no recline. So guess which row we were assigned. It's a short flight, but that's been my luck recently.

Are they still serving that nice whole grain rice with the curry?

PG usually has decent food. On this flight we were given mystery meat akin to TG's offerings. Now that I think about it, it's been awhile since curry/rice etc was offered on PG.
