    Hi,

Hope this is posted in the right place!

I'm in the UK and I was wondering why people rarely discuss Mileage Runs with BA? Is this because they are different to US operators? I don't really get this. I mean, I would love to do a mileage run with BA but there just isn't much information about.

    Any info appreciated.

    Thanks

    Rich

Fuel surcharges are what I hear most about when people talk about avoiding BA. I'm sure someone can provide more detail.

BA flyers seem to be more interested in earning status than Avios. They tend to use the phrase "tier points run" or "TP runs". The topic gets robust discussion over in the FlyerTalk BA community.

Lots of good TP runs available; particular favorites are short segments in a premium cabin (!).

    Thanks both!
I can relate to that - it's so easy to earn Avios because there are so many ways to go about doing it
Will check that out! Out of interest is there an equivalent board here on milepoint?

Is that different from most mileage runs in the US? I have made some unnecessary trips this year for status miles, but certainly not for redeemable miles.
