    Indeed!

Though 12,500 Miles for a domestic flight intra-Brazil seems a bit steep when they charge low fares.

So TAM and LAN are both going to be OW and Avianca has $300,000,000 (40% of their entire cash holdings) tied up in Venezuela where Maduro won't let them take it out? Hmmm......

I'm worried about AV. Copa is wonderful, but they aren't an AV replacement, and I'm not sure else who down here is. Looks like I've got some homework to do in the near future.

Does the Brazillian Jet Blue have any premium cabins?

The United website balks at a lot of the award searches. This should help.

Y does not equate Award Space Availability on Azul.

It is not searching the Y bucket; it is searching the Z bucket which is used for award space. The display uses F/C/Y consistently for each cabin regardless of the carrier and its' underlying booking codes.

I've tested it and compared to results UA is showing online where they do have some data. Did you actually try it or just presume I screwed up?
