Ok all you award travel flyers. I have just booked my first award travel ever in BC for the following. AC YVR HKG, TG HKG BKK, TG BKK SGN, NH HAN HND then NH to YVR. Anything that I should be looking out for regarding the ticketing etc. All on UA stock, have been able to choose seats for all flights. Any helpful info. regarding any problems that could arise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Bring your Credit Card you booked it with you. I know when I booked something like this; while checking in they wanted to see the credit card.

ok, thanks it's the cc I use for all my travels so that won't be a problem. Am curious why they would want to see my credit card when all that was paid were some taxes. Anyway will have it with me.

BKK has always wanted my CC.
IT could be because I paid cash for a couple of PEN - BKK RTs.
Less than 90usd and in F.

Sometimes they ask, mane who wants to buy another ticket..

Had it happen once, sure glad I had the card, and it was a card that I had canceled.

Now that I think about it; yeah BKK always checks the CC when you're checking in on award flights for some reason .

"Always" covers all manner of scenarios. They didn't for me last time through.

As for why they do it, the airlines in areas where fraud is high will require the CC to allow boarding and reduce such losses.
