I currently have a 90,000 mile (per person) business class trip to Japan with a stop in Istanbul on the way over. I want to change my flights around. Would you recommend:

Putting an entirely new booking together - place it on hold - then cancel the first reservation - wait for miles to redeposit - ticket new reservation.

    or

Changing flights around in exhausting reservation. (all flights would be changed as flying the opposite direction around the world.

Rebook....hold a new flight...then cancel and redeposit. The agent who books for you can do it all at once. I just did this yesterday....it was seamless.

Hope you are still going to IST though.....you'd love it.

I'm not sure if it affects your flight, but I also recommend that you keep the March 30 and 31 deadlines in mind, when U.S. Airways changes alliance partners from Star Alliance to Oneworld before changing your award.
