Award Redemption from non-North America Locations Finally Published

  1. The long promised non-North American charts have actually been published.

This may already be posted elsewhere, so sorry if this is a duplicate post!

Following up on the intra-Asia flight issue, most outside of North American redemption look awful- lowest redemption within Africa is 60,000 RT.

    Looking on the bright side...

Some of the prices ex-Asia are pretty reasonable, particularly the 40k Hawaii award (though I wonder how easy it will be to find one) and the new ultra-cheap short-haul awards (10k for Korea domestic, as little as 12k for China domestic). Hong Kong is also treated as part of "North Asia," which makes flights between HK and China/Japan/Korea much cheaper through DL than through UA.

HK to Korea is still cheaper on UA. Hard to say with China depending on how DL interprets their own rules.

It appears DL also managed to sneak in a few more increases ex North America.

The SkyPesos devalue faster than the miles of other major US airlines that are part of the big three airline alliances.

The cost of many non-NA award trips to/from/within India have been jacked up a lot by Delta SkyMiles. And that is only a part of the devaluation being shown by way of these award charts.

Where did you see this? Following the official chart, they are both "Northern Asia" so award tix should start from 25k...

  8. ... now, lets see how "available" these low awards really are... My UA miles are looking more and more like a giant pot of gold!

Hmmm... I'm seeing 70k for "low" dates next month. Nice to know that their pricing system is as reliable as ever....

Not to mention the Layover in Tokyo, GA( NRT )

The South America actual levels seem to be even higher than they were before. I have just begi=un to use them so I hope the availability will increase with all the new DL emphasis on Southe America.
