It's not explicit in the quoted portion, but I would assume that these are NOT MQMs.

This is about three cents per redeemable mile (2.8 cents plus 7.5% tax, which actually makes it 3.0100 cents per mile), which for a nonelite would be a good MR price. I guess it could be useful to top off an account for a particular award, but not to add to an account with no specific and available award in mind.

It sounds like this will be a continuing offer with no deadline, just the requirement that you can get only one of these (1K, 2K, or 3K bonus miles) per RT revenue ticket on DL, excluding codeshares.

And when the awards are built, your miles would be worth about the same as 'dirt' 72 hours before departure when direct, low awards are opened.

    Why?

    Because they can.

(bumping this thread rather than starting a new one)
Delta is offering a 50% Award Builder bonus through the end of the year.
$28, $56, and $84 for 1,500, 3,000 and 4,500 SkyMiles, respectively. I am non-elite and without a specific award goal, but I am still tempted to spend the $28 for my relatively short Thanksgiving flight (LAX to MSP)...

    Big RE-BUMP

So just as a point of discussion....these points do not count towards, well, anything except to spend on awards. They do NOT count towards Million Miles which sucks.

I don't see this anywhere so does anyone know if these points have any expiration? I know other points don't but since these are so limited I was wondering if they might. Since I don't have a specific use in mind at the moment they would still stack up for me to use at a later date when I did decide to use points on an award ticket....right?

They are standard miles that don't expire (until they change the program)
