    Not sure if it's a bug or a feature ;) but if I punch in SFO->LAX in the calculator, some of the rates include SFO-HKG-LAX, SFO-LIM-LAX, and SFO-LHR-LAX, which all show what appear to be the correct number of miles for two one-ways but isn't really all that useful :)

    Well, it is basically looking at all the route maps and summing the numbers where there are connection points. Not always going to be useful, I suppose, but it does at least sort them by price so you see the cheap ones first. And I'm not particularly keen on trying to build logic that excludes some options based on an arbitrary rationale given that there's always the chance I'd exclude something actually useful.

    I am just loading the data that BA is publishing on their site. I cannot help if they've decided to use slightly different distance calculations than what GCMap reports.
