I am having issues with MP where I am logged-in and then when I click on a link either an alert or What's New or something else, I end up getting taken to that page and simultaneously logged off.

Any ideas what it could be?

    Thanks.

    Hi LAXtraveler,

This issue was brought to our attention recently and we're looking into it.

    Thanks for posting,

Could you please tweak your parms for when someone is considered logged off? It seems to be set too low. I access the internet via satellite and the response time is a little slower than dsl, etc. Often lately it seems that I will be reading posts and then hit reply and I get the error message that I must be logged on to do that. My screen still shows me as logged on. I have to logon again, go back to the forum, and type my reply back in. Aggravating.

May I ask what browsers you're both using?

    Hello LAXtraveler and bonnerbl,

When you sign in do you check the box 'stay logged in'? This seems to have helped another member.

Please let me know if this quick fix doesn't work for both of you

I'm seeing the same problem lately in Firefox at work, not at all at home using Chrome.

The option to stay logged in is nice, but I don't use it unless I'm using my home computer, for obvious reasons. :)

    I'm on Chrome.

I don't use the stay logged in feature since I am generally not on at home.

Just now. I posted a new thread in Trip Reports. A minute later
I went to make another post there, but though I had done
nothing, nada in the interim, I got the message
"you must be logged in to do that."

I normally don't check the "stay logged in" box because I clear my cookies every time I quit my browser. With MP I'll have to try to remember to check that box, because otherwise I keep getting logged out.

About 5 minutes ago, I was "logged off" after replying to a conversation and just a moment ago after replying to a post as no sooner did I click "post reply" for this post, I was told I was not logged in. Any update as to when this will be fixed?

Hah, I sometimes participate in these "likes parade" threads,
and I got logged off between "liking" one post and the next.
    Beat that, puckstopper!

Well, where I can stop pucks (sometimes ;)), I can't stop this as it's still happening.....I logged-in, opened up one thread, clicked "like" and poof-no longer logged in

And to add, it happened just 5 minutes later when I went to reply to a post

Is anyone still having this issue? We're pretty hopeful of the responses this time.

I've been clicking on stay logged in and also logging off more rapidly recently so I haven't noticed it for a bit. Perhaps later this week I will do a test run of staying on for a bit longer and seeing.

It still happens to me but I do not 'stay logged in' -- so I just deal w/the consequences of that choice!:( The biggest deal is when I've composed a lengthy post, & then get the 'not logged in' alert, so I always make sure I 'copy' my just-composed post & then log out & re-log in (then I have to get back to the page/thread that I was on - previously!).
