I case anyone needs youtube porn ( July 2013 )
Thanks for an interesting share. It was very telling that he said, "I can't talk about the future, and I won't talk about the future," with regard to revenue requirements for Premier status. I certainly got the sense that they intend to raise those requirements as soon as we become accustomed to them. It was a shame that nobody threw any hardballs, particularly with regard to the many details that remain unclear about what we Premier passengers will be facing in the rapidly approaching new year.
It is becoming increasingly clear that airlines as a whole are working toward becoming profitable businesses. Smisek does seem to be laser focused on that goal, and while I may not like its financial impact on my personal flying habits, it makes perfect sense that it must happen. Let's just hope that he is as concerned as he says about turning profits into improved travel experiences as much as returning dividends to the shareholders.
Thank you for sharing this insightful video.
I appreciate his candid acknowledgement that customer service has suffered -- and still needs improvement -- at United.
As far as I can tell, the last time UA paid a dividend to it's shareholders was in 1987 (although they talked about one in 1999 ).
So if I were an investor in UA (which I am not), I certainly would not be looking forward to any immediate income from my investment.
