AS just emailed that they are adding two new routes from SEA to ABQ and BWI.

    Double RDMs on both.

Very nice to be able to skip DL to these destinations.

Interesting SEA-ABQ is a WN route, and BWI a WN hub.

Yes good point. Seems like they are going after WN more then DL with these, but I don't fly WN. For me I'm just glad to be able to not connect through SLC to get to Santa Fe :)

Although the flight times are a bit odd...

ETA: I understand them from operational reasons, but for the O/D market, they aren't particularly well-timed.

It would appear that AS canceled the PDX-ATL route and will be redeploying the aircraft on the new SEA-BWI route.

They don't publicize route cancellations as broadly, do they?

I wonder how SAN-BOS and SAN-MCO are doing?

And is LAX-DCA still viable once AA has 2 daily on that route - and far more elites in both cities?

I fly frequently to LAX from the DC area and as much as I'd prefer to fly AS, I find they are rarely competitve on price.

Even with the $99/$110 companion fare from the CC its very hard to find AS flights that make sense from DC, at least when I want to travel over holidays and the like.

BWI now offers an nice alternative pricing wise compared to DCA.

It's helpful to see since I was just looking at flying home to DC from HNL towards the beginning of the year. I'l keep an eye on the route.
